Phil Walrod, owner of Walrod Insurance Services, has been in the insurance business since 1979. He has served as an agent and Regional Manager with Texas Bankers Insurance Services prior to moving to Southwest Kansas. Upon the move to Elkhart with his young family, Walrod joined forces with Janzen-Elder Insurance in 1985. In 1990, Walrod moved on to Farmland Insurance where he was honored with numerous awards, including Farmland’s Agent of the Year in 1992. In 1994, Walrod Insurance Services became an Independent Insurance Agency, offering clients the benefit of choice as to the company where their business could be placed. By operating as an Independent Agency, it has always been a priority to offer the best products at the best price. Walrod Insurance Services takes pride in down-home, personal service to our clients.
